Gary J. Mullins is a dedicated musician who has shared his love of the music for 35 years through teaching instrumental music. A native of Lexington, TN, Mullins earned his B.S. in Music Education from the University of TN at Martin and his Master’s degree from Memphis State University.
Among his many accomplishments, Mullins is the recipient of the KY Outstanding Middle School Teacher of the year (1995); six time recipient of the Secondary and Middle School Teacher of the Year in KMEA District One, chosen by former students to Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers seven times, recognized as a 2008 All American Marching Band Director of Excellence by the U.S. Army and was selected as the 2009 High School Music Teacher of the Year in the KMEA First District. Mullins has serves as an Adjudicator and Conductor and has worked with Robert Kapp & Associates since 1983.
He and his wife, Gail, reside in Gilbertsville, Ky. They have one son, Cory and wife, Amy who are music teachers in Madisonville, Ky.
